The Taamra Yug Story

A father’s journeys. A daughter’s practice. And one idea that brought them together.
The Origin

It began long before Taamra Yug.

Jagjit Arora has spent his professional life as a businessman, travelling to different parts of India. But beyond business, these journeys introduced him to something that stayed with him long after the journeys ended.

He spent time among the Adivasi communities of Chhattisgarh, learning about their relationship with nature, their traditional food practices, their grains, and their knowledge of herbs. He witnessed a way of life in which nature was not separate from everyday living; it was an integral part of it.

These experiences shaped a belief that would eventually become the foundation of Taamra Yug.

In their own words

A conversation between a father and a daughter — on food, on healing, and on everything that led to Taamra Yug.

The Convergence

When two journeys came together.

Years later, his daughter, Vaidya Tanvi Arora, began her journey into Ayurveda and established her Ayurvedic centre.

Through her work, she saw how the principles of Ayurveda extend beyond treatments and therapies. They are also reflected in our everyday routines, the food we eat, and the choices we make for ourselves and our families.

Her father’s experiences and her own Ayurvedic perspective began to converge around one idea.

That thought became the beginning of Taamra Yug.

The Bridge

A return to what matters.

Taamra Yug was envisioned as a bridge between the wisdom of nature and the realities of modern living.

From traditional grains and everyday food essentials to herbs and other thoughtfully developed products, our aim is to bring people closer to the roots that have always been part of our heritage.

Two Hands, One Brand
At the Heart of It

Roots and direction.

At the Heart of It

मिली अपनी जड़ों से… मैं हूँ ना!

A reminder that reconnecting with our roots does not mean moving backwards. It means carrying the wisdom of our past into the way we live today.
